Introducing Cloudform Beam: Integrated Lighting and Acoustics for System-Driven Ceilings
As open, flexible interiors continue to evolve, designers are increasingly asked to solve two challenges at once: creating comfortable acoustic environments while delivering cohesive architectural lighting. With the introduction of Cloudform Beam, LightArt expands its Cloudform Collection to meet this growing demand, offering a refined linear system that integrates illumination and sound absorption into a single architectural element.
Designed for modern ceiling environments, Cloudform Beam supports flexible layouts that combine lighting performance, acoustic control, and visual structure. The result is a versatile system that allows designers to shape ceilings into intentional compositions that enhance both the experience and performance of a space.
A New Expression of the Cloudform Collection
Cloudform Beam builds on the momentum of LightArt’s Cloudform Collection, which transforms soft, sound-absorbing materials into sculptural lighting forms. With Beam, that concept evolves into a more architectural language—introducing linear geometries that bring rhythm, depth, and definition to interior ceilings.
By translating acoustic material into structured linear forms, Cloudform Beam offers designers another way to build cohesive ceiling environments that use both light and sound.
Lighting and Acoustics in One Element
At its core, Cloudform Beam is designed as a system-driven ceiling solution. The collection integrates sound-absorbing material and lighting technology within a streamlined format, helping reduce reverberation while delivering consistent, high-quality illumination.
To support flexible design strategies, Cloudform Beam is available in both illuminated and unlit configurations. Designers can specify these elements independently or combine them within the same installation, creating layered ceiling compositions that address both acoustic performance and lighting needs.
This approach allows architects and designers to simplify specification and installation while maintaining greater control over the visual rhythm and performance of the ceiling plane. By integrating lighting and acoustics into a unified system, Cloudform Beam helps reduce the need for multiple fixtures and separate acoustic treatments—resulting in cleaner, more cohesive ceilings.
Designed for Flexibility
Each Cloudform Beam measures 3 inches wide and is available in lengths from 22 to 92 inches, with heights from 5 to 28 inches. These dimensional variations allow designers to introduce depth and visual rhythm while tailoring installations to the space's scale.
The illuminated version features integrated LED technology that delivers efficient, evenly distributed light without compromising acoustic performance. Lighting options include 80 or 90 CRI, color temperatures ranging from 2700K to 4000K, a Tunable White option, and 0–10V dimming for precise control.
Cloudform Beam is available in LightArt's standard palette of 31 Cloudform colors, including neutral tones, woodgrain finishes, and saturated hues. This consistent palette allows designers to maintain visual continuity across both lit and unlit applications and across the broader Cloudform Collection.
Responsible Materials and Manufacturing
Like all products within the Cloudform Collection, Cloudform Beam reflects LightArt’s commitment to responsible material choices and sustainable manufacturing practices. The system integrates sound-absorbing fiberglass material with PVC-free power cords and TGIC-free powder coating, supporting material transparency goals while maintaining long-term durability.
Cloudform Beam is also manufactured in the United States, allowing for close coordination between design, engineering, and production.
