UChicago Medicine Crown Point
Crafted from translucent resin, the Ribbon Cloud pendants emit a soft, diffused glow, harmonizing with the natural daylight that pours through the expansive glass windows. Their organic, cloud-like forms bring movement and lightness to the lobby, contrasting beautifully with the architecture's clean lines and warm wood tones.
Adding a symbolic touch, a custom Cardinal sculpture is nestled within the installation, serving as a beacon of hope and resilience. Together, the Ribbon Cloud fixtures and Cardinal create an artistic focal point that enhances the calming, uplifting atmosphere—an ideal complement to a healthcare space designed for patient comfort and well-being.
UChicago Medicine Crown Point is one of the nation’s newest multispecialty care centers. This innovative, free-standing micro-hospital is filling a gap in a region where accessibility to high-quality medical care was previously limited, offering a new way of delivering a variety of health services to the community.
